back out slowly until you have room to shift into forward and steer away from the dock

cast off the bow line

step 1

cast off the stern line

step 4

increase speed slowly until stern in clear of the doc

step 2

move and secure the bow line to a mid boat position on the dock

step 3

put the boat in to forward gear briefly and turn the steering wheel hard into the dock
