Double Dip
A course that satisfies two requirements. These courses are listed in two different categories in the GEN ED section of your Degree Works. Since a three hour course satisfies six hours of requirements, you must create a 3-hour elective to ensure you complete the hours required for your major, which absorbs excess elective hours. Double dipping is general not helpful for students unless they have excess electives or are double majoring or double minoring.
Curriculum
A curriculum is comprised of major requirements, general education requirements, required electives, sometimes a minor/support requirement, and sometimes an emphasis area.
Minor
A declared secondary field of study or specialization. Most minors require at least fifteen hours at the 3000-level or higher. Not all minors are approved for Business School majors. Specific requirements are found by clicking on specific minors. Economics requires a minor. All other business majors allow you to complete a minor.

Shadow Major
A student officially enrolled in one major, but intending to switch to another major after meeting appropriate criteria for the new major and completing the Change of Academic Program request. Pre-Business students are in a non-degree "program"; they are not Shadow Majors.

A student who successfully completes the courses prescribed (curriculum) in an academic majorqualifies for an undergraduate degree.
