Physical geography is the study of the Earth's physical features. Human geography focuses on human activities in relation to the physical world.

The complex community of interdependent living things in a given environment.

Absolute Location

The exact position of a place on the Earths surface.

Physical Geography

The study of Earth's physical features.

Human Environment Interaction

The study of human activities and their relationship to the cultural and physical environments.

Why do geographers study human systems and human-environment relationships?

To understand how the how the earth affects & is affected by human activity so that informed decisions can be made.

Used to study the environment, weather, and human settlement patterns.
