Emotion is an important part of ethics. We care about the things that are important to us, our values are important to each of us. We must not react on emotion alone. We must carefully take the facts into consideration and the value of others into consideration. Moral values are partly emotional and partly factual.

Ethics of Persons * Affirms that persons are special, precious and have a dignity that demands respect. Ethics of Happiness * challenges us to achieve the greatest balance of happiness over suffering. Ethics of Virtue * encompasses those moral values concerned with character (self disciple, responsibility, honesty, charity, loyalty, devotion). Ethics of Relationship * encompasses those moral values concerned with our connections to others, both family and community.
