Uses a color within the two colors and are found on either side of the color's complements. The main color is the dominant one and the two colors on each side of the main complement are the accent colors. Examples are red, blue-green, and yellow-green.

What is triadic?

Uses any three colors that are equally distant from each other on the color wheel. Examples are red, yellow, blue, green, orange, violet, yellow-orange, red-violet and blue-green.

What is neutral?

Uses colors that are not found on the color wheel. Examples are black, gray, white, brown, tan, and beige.

What is analogous?

Uses hues that are next to each other on the color wheel and usually are made when you use 3-5 hues. Examples are violet, red-violet and red, which are all placed next to each other on the color wheel.

what is Monochromatic?

Uses only a single hue or tints, tones and shades of the same hue. It is also an accent of a neutral color and can be used by adding interest to a color scheme. Examples are red, pink. burgundy, and maroon, which are all shades of red.

What is complimentary?

Uses two colors that are directly opposites on the color wheel and are the brightest and most intense form of each color when combined together. Examples are red and green.
