Database management software
Combines structuring data with tools to manage the data. Microsoft Access and Oracle make some of the most used database programs. OpenOffice offers a free database program called Base.

Platform

Short for computer application; basically the same thing as a computer program.
Site license
Similar to network licenses but the software is installed on the device of qualified users in an organization.
OS
Software that manages a computer's hardware, supports the computer's basic functions, and runs its other programs.

Stores information about the theme and slide layouts of a presentation.

The computer platform known for its graphics capability and stylish design.

Resolution
The quality of a display screen, as defined by its number of pixels.
Control Panel
The system management tool in the Windows operating system. Allows you to change computer settings, manage tasks, install and uninstall programs, and many other options.

Tools that allow users to enter information into a database.
Primary key
Uniquely identifies each record in a database. Example: student ID number
Word processing programs
Used to create and assortment of documents, desktop publishing, basic Web pages that are saved using Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)

System software
