V tachycardia
100-250 BPM Deadly Rhythm QRS wave - The heart is so fast Can be caused by medications
Sinus bradycardia
40-60 BPM , Occurs in drug overdoses
Sinus arrhythmia
60-100 BPM All complexes normal
Normal Sinus rhythm
60-100 bpm , Normal Heart rate
Atrial Flutter
Atrial rate - 400 BPM Ventricular rate - 60-100 BPM
Asystole
Death No electrical activity Do not shock
Loose or Broken wires
Loose or broken lead wires
V-fib
No pulse, but has electrical activity- You can shock the patient, CPR, Medication,You can do defibrillator
Atrial Fibrillation
P waves replaced by small F waves Atrial rate- 350-600 BPM
Premature atrial Contraction
SA node fires too soon No break between heart beats
Baseline Shift
Sensors too loose or too tight, too little electrolyte, Dirty sensors
Ac interference
arc-like bands that occur when the machine is too close to an unshielded electrical device
Somatic tremor
caused by the patient tensing or contracting a muscle during test
Premature ventricular contraction
early firing off the ventricles
