A network was set up by the Mongol government to relay news, information, and government orders. Riders would ride horses and switch to fresh horses at every start.

Intro
Chinggiss Khan united the Mongol tribes during the late 12th century and early 13th century. During his reign he conquered the better part of Eurasia.
Cultural (continuity)
Did not persecute any religion and allowed any missionaries or school of thought to enter any lands conquered by the Mongols.
Thesis
However as the kingdom grew and developed the political, economic, and cultural practices of the Mongolian Empire changed and adapted to the lands that it conquered during the postclassical era.
Cultural (change)
Mongols needed people from conquered lands to help run the empire As the empire grew scholars, generals, and others in a specialized work force were taken from their land and sent to Mongolian capital in Karakorum.

Resisted assimilation into the lands which they conquered.
Economic (change)
Trade in the region became much safer now that the rival Mongol tribes were not fighting amongst each other. Europe and China became directly connected through trade for the first time ever.
