Explain a time when you had to choose between addressing a customer issue or a staff issue?

When I worked as a student manager at my University there were many issues with the structure and most of the employees work ethic. We also had a divide which came from Union workers and student workers. I came in and bridged that gap. When I was still fresh as the student manager a issue arose and one of the union workers were having a fit causing a scene and going off in a rant. I approached them asked them what the problem was. They stated that they never get any breaks.

Why Starbucks

I believe Starbucks has a welcoming and diverse environment, which is a community I can thrive in. When first hearing about the opportunity I thought to myself, I don't drink coffee nor am I a big Starbucks customer but after conversing with Mr.Shorty and digging doing a little bit of research myself I realized Starbucks was more than an American Coffee Company. They were a family and they want to impact the community in micro levels and macro levels. They imply it in their Mission statement which is to inspire and nature the human spirit one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time.
