Good communication is important because it can prevent misunderstandings, build healthy relationships, and express yourself
Differentiate between passive, assertive, and aggressive communication styles.
Passive- Does not offer opposition when challenged or pressured Aggressive- To express oneself in a hostile or unfriendly way Assertive- to express oneself in a healthy, direct, and respectful way
Compare stages of Maslow's hierarchy of needs
Physical- need for food, water, sleep, excersize Safety- need for shelter and protection from danger Social- need for love, affection, and acceptance Esteem- need to have self respect and achieve goals Self actualization- achievement if the best a person can be
What are the risks of low self esteem?
Risks of low self esteem are being more vulnerable to peer pressure, not respectful to yourself or others, and harm to mental health

They may help in the short term, but they often have no long term benefits

self esteem is a measure of how much you value, respect, and feel confident about yourself. Benefits of this are increased respect, increased ability to reach goals, increased willingness to try new things, and increased feelings of value.
