Who was J. Robert Oppenheimer?

Julius Robert Oppenheimer was an American theoretical physicist and professor of physics at the University of California, Berkeley. He was one of the main scientists working on the Atomic Bomb.

What were some criticisms of bombing Japan?

-plane might get shot down by Japanese -might kill American prisoners in Japan. -The bomb might be a dud.

23 countries tried Nazi war criminals for the persecution of Jews, found them guilty, and sentenced them to death.

A battle to take control of Japan's last defensive outpost. Americans ended up victorious.

Bomb dropped on Japanese city called "Little Boy"

Bomb dropped on second Japanese city called "Fat Man"

Commander of the Naval Forces in the Pacific

The goal of the United Nations was to prevent future conflicts so that there would never be another World War.

The meeting of Churchill, Stalin, and Roosevelt to talk about what to do with Germany when the war ended. How to potentially divide the territory of Germany.
