Who was J. Robert Oppenheimer?
Julius Robert Oppenheimer was an American theoretical physicist and professor of physics at the University of California, Berkeley. He was one of the main scientists working on the Atomic Bomb.
What Japanese ship was taken down by General Doolittle?
The Hornet, it was a destroyer ship.
What was the Manhattan Project?
The Manhattan project was the project the US under went in order to create the Atomic bomb in order to invade the Japanese, retaliation for Pearl Harbor?
What is a Kamikaze?
suicide attacks from Japan against Allied naval vessels. designed to destroy as many warships as possible in planes full of bombs.
What were some criticisms of bombing Japan?
-plane might get shot down by Japanese -might kill American prisoners in Japan. -The bomb might be a dud.
What were the Nuremberg Trials?
23 countries tried Nazi war criminals for the persecution of Jews, found them guilty, and sentenced them to death.
What was the battle for Okinawa?
A battle to take control of Japan's last defensive outpost. Americans ended up victorious.

Bomb dropped on Japanese city called "Little Boy"

Bomb dropped on second Japanese city called "Fat Man"

The goal of the United Nations was to prevent future conflicts so that there would never be another World War.
