First, look for a piece that doesn't have yellow on it and it is NOT a corner piece (when I say it is not a corner piece, that means there should only be 2 colors on that one piece). Once you find one, put it above its matching center dot. If you completed the last few steps, then there should be a vertical line consisting of three pieces with ONLY matching colors. I will give you an algorithm that if you are a beginner, you probably would not understand the algorithm. So, at the bottom of this flashcard set, I will give you the definition of all of the moves that I will ask you to perform. Another tip, you should ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS hold the cube so that the white side is on the bottom unless I direct you otherwise. It should be out of sight. Anyway, back to the second layer. You have the 3-piece vertical line. So, now that you have that, look at the color of the same piece at the top of the cube. Remember that color for about 10 seconds. Move the layer with the third piece of the vertical line away from the top color's center. This probably sounds complicated, but stick with me, and I will simplify this. The top color of that piece is either the same color as the centerpiece on the left or right. If it matches the centerpiece on the left, move the entire top layer to the right. If it matches the centerpiece on the right, then move the entire top layer to the left. So in simplified form, move the top color away from its center piece. Then perform the following algorithm (remember, all you beginners, the move definition is on the bottom of this page). R U' R' U' F' U F. Now you should have that third piece in the second layer position.

Now after this, do the same algorithm to do the other pieces.

Great job, now the top side should be solved. You are overcoming!

Now we want to put all of the corners in the correct position. Follow me and you WILL succeed.

If you see a dot, do this algorithm: F (R U R' U') F' Fw (R U R' U') Fw'

Now you should have a yellow cross (and you might have a few corners in it, but it doesn't matter).

If you see a line, do this algorithm: F (R U R' U') F'

Now you should have a yellow cross (and you might have a few corners in it, but it doesn't matter).

If you see an uppercase L, do this algorithm: Fw (R U R' U') Fw'

Now you should have a yellow cross (and you might have a few corners in it, but it doesn't matter).

Now all of the corners are in their correct spots, look at the cube. Before you do anything else, pat yourself on the back, you are doing amazing. If you need a break, take one, you deserve it. Get a glass of water if you need it, show anyone how far you've gotten and tell them that the best is yet to come. You should be proud of yourself

Ok, back to work. Look at the cube. At first, you will see one of two things: either all of the sides are still unsolved (except for white and the top color), or you will see that only three are unsolved and one other is solved. In the flashcards below, I will help you solve the cube.

If 0 c. are solved and 2 yellow pieces are facing you and the other 2 are facing the sides, do this:

R U2 (R2 U' R2 U') R2 U2 R

If all of the sides are unsolved, do this algorithm. Keep doing this algorithm and believe it or not, it'll solve

R2 U (R U R' U') R' U' R' U R'

If one side is solved, hold the cube so that the solved side is in the very back. Do the same algorithm above and it should pan out the way you expected:

SOLVED Now, I will give you the definitions for all of those crazy letters

Now for the last layer, you are almost done.

The next few flashcards may seem overwhelmingly long, But what did I say in Flashcard 11, YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Now is the part where you have to look and really pay attention

There will be a lot of different circumstances when you have solved the top cross, only one will match your cube. On the flashcards below, when you see "c.", it means corner. Another tip, it might not always work the first time, so sometimes, you might have to do more than one algorithm.

White Cross

This is what the White Cross should look like in the end Go to the link below and see for yourself. I am not a Quizlet Plus user, so I will leave a lot of links below for you to see the image in the future. Here is a little tip, instead of typing in the EXTREMELY long link that is impossible to memorize, just copy the link and paste it into the search bar. You can do that with all of the links that I leave you. http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSWpcnfVMb1M5PED_ryBIGyPOusSqzcRrIFtQ&s

Congratulations!!! You solved the first layer. Buckle up, we're about to head onto the second layer.🎉

To be encouraged and motivated, go to the link below and imagine that the word "I" is your name. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Philippians+4%3A13&version=NIV

Alrighty, here we go. Look at the top side, you will see one of 4 things, a dot, an uppercase L that has only three yellow pieces in it, a straight line, or if you get lucky, you might see that there is a yellow cross on the top. If you get extremely lucky, you might see that the whole top side is solved.

When you see me put an algorithm inside of parentheses, ignore it, it means nothing, it is just how you type some algorithms

Sometimes, a piece will already be in the center position, but it doesn't match the colors. Do the algorithm that I give you below. Hold the cube so that the messed-up piece is on your right. Now do the same algorithm as I gave you before, but try to put a piece with a yellow in the second layer position.

You are doing great, keep up the good work.

The second layer should look like these two images

http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRLVKsLg7xARdzjKQH8eVIW2o3qCxWtQ7Psng&s http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS2zIjGKHoAfuULKQjmsV0h9d6siWsHF-m3SQ&s Now, I will give you the steps of success.

Align the Red, White piece with the Red center and the white center

http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRqgZLcCYoaVUrvzCl707pi0vQmJN1L7__JHg&s

You are doing great! Now, align the Blue, White piece

look at the center http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT-Ae4JTgmLFiW4RfLCRo3aXsD2ZxYbfJgeGQ&s

After that, do the same thing for the Orange, White piece

look at the center http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTVo4yUHb165epF4eSfBr7DWwtwyuNunqpioQ&s

Then, do the same with the Green, White piece. Do this without messing up the red-white piece. There is not an algorithm for solving the White cross.

look at the right side http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTVo4yUHb165epF4eSfBr7DWwtwyuNunqpioQ&s

D'

R

move the right side up

U

move the top layer to the left

U'

move the top layer to the right

F'

If 2 c. are solved and the other 2 c. are diagonal from each other, hold it so that there is a yellow facing you on the left side, do this

(F R' F' Rw) (U R U' Rw')

If 1 c. is solved with yellow on the right sides only, hold it so that the one solved c. is in the top left c. , do this

(R U R' U) (R U2 R') Another tip, whenever you see a 2 in an algorithm, that means you are supposed to do that move twice.

If 2 c. are solved with the other 2 c. facing you, do this. Hold the cube so that white is at the very back and the 2 unsolved yellows are facing up.

(R U' R') D ( R U2 R') D' ( R U' R')

If 1 c. is solved with yellow on the left sides only, hold it so that the one solved c. is in the top right c. ,do this.

(R U2 R') U' (R U' R')

If 2 pieces (non-yellow) are separated by another color (non-yellow), flip the cube upside down so that the white side is on the top and the two separated colors are still facing you. Then, flip the cube so that white is facing you and the 2 separated colors are on the bottom of the cube. With white facing you, do this algorithm

(R' U R') D2 (R U' R') D2 R2

If 2 c. are solved with the other 2 c. facing the sides, do this

(Rw U R' U') (Rw' F R F')

Now, do the same thing for the rest of the center middle non-yellow pieces. Once the entire second layer is matching, it should look like the images on the links on Flashcard 8.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. - Joshua 1:9

If 0 c. are solved and 2 yellow pieces are facing you and the other 2 are facing away from you, do this:

F (R U R' U') (R U R' U') (R U R' U') F'

If there are no colors separated by another color, do this algorithm. It doesn't matter how you hold the cube, just make sure white is on the bottom.

F R U' R' U' R U R' F' (R U R' U') (R' F R F')

Sometimes throughout my most recent works, you'll see a few links that lead you to a different site where you read a verse, those verses are from the Bible, God's Word. To some people out there who think that I am stupid for saying a few of these things, it is more directed those who do not know JESUS as their Lord and Saviour

I can guarantee you some eaternal rewards that are beyond comprehension. But you have a part to play in them, you have to believe that what the Bible says is true. I can guarantee all of the stuff in the Bible is true and you can always learn from it. If you don't have a Bible at your house, you have many ways of obtaining one. If you want a Bible on your computer, go to biblegateway.com. You can either just read from there, or you can actually order a Bible for yourself (with your parents permission of course). If you want it on your phone, just download the Bible app from the App store and if you want to actually listen to a few sermons, download the AIC church app from the App store. God Bless you. I hope this Rubik's Cube tutorial worked for you.

I give you that word, it is your job to accept it

Now align all of the corners to make it look like this. to align a corner, keep that corner piece one away from where it is supposed to be. Then, pull the side down that the corner piece is supposed to go into. I am sorry if the previous flashcards sounded cryptic, but there is no other way of explaining it when I am not right in front of you.

I will leave you 2 links. Just use your imagination and combine the 2 images. http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcROrgDuawYMAnqylkmcSYWDQqhe4zw9OdSS7A&s http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcS8QDdiBzwC-C878Et0K5GlyA2TEOWkSiCy2g&s

If you see a cross, LEAVE IT ALONE

If this is you, you are one lucky ducky.

If the entire top sode is solved, DEFINITELY LEAVE IT ALONE

If this is you, you are the luckiest duck to ever be a duck
