Inner Planets

Are planets that are closest to the Sun. These planets are made of rock and metal.

Outer Planets

Are planets that are farthest from the Sun. These planets are made out of hydrogen and helium.

Pluto

Is a dwarf planet. This planet was discovered back in 1930, but in 2007, it was considered a dwarf planet. This planet is farthest from the Sun.

Uranus

Is a green gas giant that has rings that are tilted on its side.

Mars

Is known as the Red Planet. This planet contains Olympus Mons, which is the tallest mountain in the Solar System.

Neptune

Is the 8th planet in the Solar System. This planet contains the Dark Red Spot, a storm that is pale blue.

Sun

Is the biggest object in the Solar System and everything revolves around it.

Jupiter

Is the biggest planet in our Solar System. This planet contains the Great Red Spot, a big swirling storm in it's atmosphere.

Sagarittius A Star

Is the black hole at the center of the Milky Way.

Moon

Is the brightest light in our night sky. Neil Armstrong landed on this object in 1969.

Venus

Is the brightest planet in our Solar System. This planet is very similar to Earth except that this planet has poisonous gas.

Milky Way

Is the galaxy the contains our Solar System.

Saturn

Is the second biggest planet in the Solar System. This planet has the most magiificent set of rings ever.

Mercury

Is the smallest and closest planet in the Solar System. This planet is made of rock. This planet has no air for anyone to breathe.

Earth

Is the third planet in the Solar System and the only planet that supports life. This planet has Mount Everest, the tallest mountain on this planet.
