Intersecting

2 or more lines, rays or line segments that cross or touch

Parallel

2 or more lines, rays or line segments that never intersect

obtuse angle

An angle that is >90 degrees and <180 degrees.

acute angle

An angle that measures >0 degrees and <90 degrees

straight angle

An angle that measures exactly 180 degrees.

right angle

An angle that measures exactly 90 degrees.

Line

A collection of points in the same plane that extend continuously in both directions

Ray

A line that extends continuously in only one direction; the other end is an endpoint

Line segment

A piece of line; it has 2 end points

vertex

A point where two or more straight lines, rays or line segments meet.

reflex angle

Angles whose measure is >180 degrees and <360 degrees

Perpendicular

lines, line segments or rays that intersect to form 90 degree angles
