As a substitute,* "David Crosby" was invited to sit in by *"Stephen Stills" • After Buffalo Springfield broke up and Crosby was dismissed from the Byrds, he and Stills began meeting with each other and jamming ***• Creatively frustrated with the Hollies, Nash decided to join with Crosby and Stills

1966, they became a house band at the Whiskey A Go-Go in LA. until they were fired for their performance of "The End" - • Half-spoken, half-improvised free-form epic song of apocalyptic imagery where a young man murders his father and wants to have sex with his mother (Oedipus complex) • Morrison was a rebel, he even claimed his parents were dead in an early press kit • He was very charismatic on stage.
