1966, they became a house band at the Whiskey A Go-Go in LA. until they were fired for their performance of "The End" - • Half-spoken, half-improvised free-form epic song of apocalyptic imagery where a young man murders his father and wants to have sex with his mother (Oedipus complex) • Morrison was a rebel, he even claimed his parents were dead in an early press kit • He was very charismatic on stage.
