Blaise Pascal was born on June 19, 1623, in Clermont-Ferrand, France. At a young age, he began exploring geometry and mathematics on his own. Not long after recognizing his newfound love for numbers, Pascal began inventing and discovering innovative concepts.

#3

Now I will talk to you about Pascal's most notable inventions, the Pascaline and Pascal's Triangle. The Pascaline used gears and pins to perform integer addition. It could be used to subtract, multiply and divide. Another interesting fact is that Only 7 of Pascal's original Pascalines exist today. In the present day where technology becomes more portable, new inventions are always looking to make life easier. Pascal's introduction to the Pascaline did not only help the needs of the future, but helped revolutionize today's modern world. It influences society through use in school, jobs, science, and technology.

Pascal was of delicate health and greatly suffered during the later years of his life. Over the years, Pascal's constant work took a toll on his health. On August 19, 1662, Pascal died of a malignant stomach tumor in his brain in Paris, France. He was 39 years old at the time of his death. (1623-1662)

Pascal's Triangle is a "triangle" of integers in which every number equals the sum of two diagonal numbers above it. The study of today's probability and statistics is closely related to Pascal's Traingle. Pascal's triangle was developed and is still used to this day to calculate the odds of an outcome depending on the number of choices. Pascal also an extremely creative man, and invented other clever gadgets and concepts. He did most of his work in his room. His primitive version of the Roulette Machine and the wristwatch proves his creativity.

Hello guys, today I'm gonna be talking to you about the scientist that I chose for this project, Blaise Pascal. Blaise Pascal, was an influential French mathematician who lived during the Renaissance. He was a physicist and a Christian philosopher who laid the foundation for the modern theory of probabilities. He was influenced by St. Augustine of Hippo, Michel de Montaigne, Cornelius Jansen, Epictetus, and René Descartes, who (fun fact #1) Pascal once met with. Some of Blaise Pascal's works and inventions greatly influence today's modern societies and our everyday life.

#5

In Pascal's later years, he abruptly abandoned his favorite pursuits to study religion after being involved in a life-threatening accident. The accident created a shift in his religious beliefs when Pascal felt as though God saved him. Pascal then began exploring the spiritual world while making contributions to Christianity through his writings. One example of this is when Pascal said, "If you gain, you gain all. If you lose, you lose nothing. Wager then, without hesitation, that He exists." This quote is actually Pascal's Wager, the argument that tells you to live your life as if God exists, because you won't lose much if God is a myth, but will gain immeasurably if He is real.

#7

In conclusion, Blaise Pascal was one of the most innovative scientists of the Renaissance. His most notable achievements include the Pascaline, and Pascal's Triangle. As stated before, these both greatly contribute to our daily lives. Pascal is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished philosophers and mathematicians in history.
