Do you think you would like to work in merchandising/buying? Why or why not? If so, which personal characteristics do you have that would translate well to a merchandising/buying career?
I don't think I'd like or dislike working in merchandising/buying. While I possess the math skills required for the job, it doesn't seem interesting to me.

It's important for people in merchandising/buying careers to have good math skills as they often have to work within a budget and flexibility to keep up with changes in the industry.

People in a merchandising/buying career are responsible for picking what items are seen in stores and catalogs, working mostly with the placement function of marketing.
What are some industries in which you can have merchandising/buying careers?
You can have a merchandising/ buying career in most industries, especially those that put out catalogs and magazines.
