1. Add -s or -es to most noun. 2. Nouns ending with the sounds /sh/, /ch/, /s/, /z/, and /ks/, add -es. 3. Nouns ending in y and preceded by a consonant, change y to i and add -es. 4. Nouns ending in y and preceded by a vowel, just add -s. 5. Nouns ending in f or fe, change f or fe to v and add -es.
