*Next slide about Jim Teaching Huck Nevin: Huck receives an education with his experiences with Jim: Huck and Jim are constantly facing obstacles on their journey, and through this adversity they face they are able to learn truly amazing life lesson.

Following self... Nevin: Not only is conventional knowledge gained from experience, but also the ability to create without being restrained by a strict education system. A Ted Talk was recently presented to show how important creativity is in the development of knowledge and life-skills.

This is one of Mark Twain's comments on society, and still these words are prevalent in today's culture. Nowadays, it can be observed that the majority of "fools" vote for the best looking candidate on the outside, and ignore the politics within. This quote also examines the King's mannerisms. His large variety of skills allow him to swindle people out of their money so easily.

For example Jim teaches Huck about how racism is wrong, whites and black can unite and be friends. No textbook back then could or would teach something like this.

In Chapter 26 the King is considering leaving town when he tells the Duke how gullible the whole town is. In a way, the King is telling the Duke that the fools outnumber the scholars in the world, so getting fools to follow you is easiest and the best way to gain followers.

Huck has realized that he no longer needs a sense of cleanliness or the intelligence he collects school. Huck thinks about the freedom he had on the raft versus what he could expect in a classroom. The unexplored territories in the west intrigue Huck's thoughts. Moreover, he plans to stick to his street-smart senses he has always had and plans to take on the wild west.

Ari:.. Huck learns a great deal of valuable lesson from his adventure with Jim, that no textbook could ever teach him. Nevin: Here are a couple of quotes to help establish the idea of street smarts and book smarts. "H'aint we got all the fools in town on our side? And ain't that a big enough majority in any town?"

Nevin: "I reckon I got to light out for the Territory ahead of the rest, because Aunt Sally she's going to adopt me and sivilize me, and I can't stand it. I been there before." Although Aunt Sally has offered to care for Huckleberry Finn and act more benevolent, Huckleberry disregards her efforts to manage him. He hikes out to the forest once more. Huck doesn't like anything about the society that Aunt Sally lives in: clean, bureaucratic, religious and educational.
