ecological fallacy is when know about the group and based on that make an assumption about an individual from that group.EX) You know students from a school have high math scores . You see a student from the school and you assume they have high math scores just because they are from that school. Exception fallacy is the opposite, where you know an individual and based on that you make an assumption of the group . EX) You know someone of a certain background is a bad driver. You then assume all people of that background are bad drivers.
