Cease to be in force

A license shall cease to be in force whenever a broker changes their business address and fails to notify the department of the change. Per Florida Statutes 475.23, the licensee must notify the department of address changes within 10 days after the change.

Current

A license with a "current" status indicates that all requirements have been completed and the license has not expired.

License Authority Voided

According to the Florida DBPR, "A multiple broker license is not transferable. Once you have canceled the license, it will be set to License Authority Voided and you will have to apply for new multiple licenses in the future should you decide to operate for multiple entities at the same time."

Group License

According to the Florida DBPR, a group license is for an owner/developer who owns properties through various entities, but all such entities are connected so that such ownership or control is by the same individua; or individuals. A sales associate or broker associate may have a "group license" in order to sell for all the entities owned by the owner/developer.

Voluntarily inactive

An inactive status can be voluntary specifically by choice and request of the licensee. This would be appropriate for a licensee who would like to retain the license but is not currently working in real estate. When a licensee's license is inactive, the licensee is still required to pay all renewal fees and complete post license education and/or continuing education and renewal requirements.

Multiple Licenses

Multiple Licenses are issued to a broker who qualifies as the broker for more than one business entity or brokerage. For each business/brokerage that a person is a broker, a separate broker license must be obtained.

Null and Void

When a license no longer exists: - License has been involuntarily inactive for more than two years. - Revoked following disciplinary proceedings - Voluntarily relinquish (does not involve disciplinary action)

Involuntarily Inactive

When the licensee fails to renew. When an employing broker has their license suspended or revoked for discipline reasons (or retires, quits or is fired from the brokerage) the licenses of all sales associates and broker associates employed by the brokerage are automatically placed in involuntarily inactive status . A licensee may activate the license by having the license registered under a new employing broker.
