سورة الكهف PART 1 (1-27)
وربطنا على قلوبهم
And We made firm their hearts
حُكْمِهِ
His commands
نحن نقص عليك
It is We who relate to you, [O Muhammad]
لن ندعو من دونه إلها
Never will we invoke besides Him any deity
أم حسبت
Or have you thought
ربنا رب السموات والأرض
Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth
الكتاب
The Book(Quran)
فلعلك بَاخِعٌ نفسك
Then perhaps you would worry yourself through grief
مالهم به من علم
They have no knowledge of it
ينشر لكم ربكم من رحمته
Your Lord will spread out for you of His mercy
وَلِيّاً مُرْشِداً
a guiding protector
عَجَباً
a wonder
من آياتنا
among Our signs
وزدناهم هُدى
and We increased them in guidance
ويهيئ لكم من أمركم مرفقا
and make you an easy way out of your ordeal
وهئ لنا من أمرنا رَشَدا
and prepare for us from our affair right guidance
ومايعبدون من دون الله
and what they worshipped instead of Allah
تُمَار
argue
يَتَنَازَعُونَ
argued
مِرآءً
argument
رُقُودٌ
asleep
بِالوَصِيد
at the entrance
صَعِيداً جُرُزا
barren ground (flat ground)
آمنوا بربهم
believed in their Lord
أَحْصَى
calculated
سلطان بَيِّن
clear authority
تخرج من أفواههم
comes of their mouths
تَسْتَفْتِ
consult
فَضَرَبْنَا عَلى ءَاذَانِهِم
covered their ears, putting them in deep sleep
عوَجَا
crookedness
اعْتَزَلتُمُوهُم
distanced yourselves
رَيْبَ
doubt
مِرْفَقاً
ease
لَمُلِئْتَ مِنْهُمْ رُعْباً
filled with horror
لَوَلَّيت مِنهُم فِرَاراً
fled away from them
ءَاثَارِهِم
footsteps
يُعِيدُوكُم في مِلَّتِهِم
force you back into their faith
أبدا
forever
من لدنه
from Him
يبَشَّر
give good news
أجراً حسنا
good reward
آتنا من لدنك رحمة
grant us from Yourself mercy
رَجْما
guessing
تَزَاوَرُ
moving away
ولا لآبائهم
nor had their fathers
لم يجعل
not made
سِنِينَ عَدَداً
number of years
فَجْوَةٍ
open space
شَطَطَاً
outrageous lie(excessive transgression)
وَلِّي
protector
مُلْتَحَداً
refuge
ماكثين
remain
رَشَداً
right
بأساً شديدا
severe punishment
ولدا
son
قيِّماً
straight
فَأوُوآ إلى الكهف
take refuge in the cave
لِنَبْلُوَهُم
test them
المؤمنين
the believers
أصحاب الكهف
the companions of the cave
الرَّقِيم
the inscription
نبأهم بالحق
their story in truth
ثم بَعَثْنَاهُم
then we awakened them
إن يقولون إلا كذبا
they speak not except a lie
يَرْجُمُوكُم
they will stone you
لِيُنذِر
to warn
تَقْرِضُهُم
turned away
على عبده
upon his worshipper
لما لبثوا أمَداً
what [extent] they had remained in time
إذ أوى الفتية إلى الكهف
when the youths sought refuge in the cave
إذ قاموا فقالوا
when they stood up and said
أي الحِزْبَين
which of the groups
الذين يعملون الصالحات
who do righteous deeds
الذي أنزل
who has sent down
ممن افترى على الله كذبا
who invents a lie about Allah
فمن أظلم
who is more unjust
