I think the greatest difference between Cyrus and Darius is in their areas of strength. Cyrus was a military genius while Amanda Rosen 9th grade History Darius was an administration genius. Cyrus did well in expanding and in battle while Darius progressed in making the empire stronger.

It allowed him to communicate quickly with the most distant parts of his empire.
