What is WSUS?
It is the Windows Server Update Service utility that allows a server or an admin to deploy a limited update and this is pushed to the client users updates.
Pros
• It allows an internal server within a private intranet to act as a virtual Windows Update Server • Selective control over what updates are posted and deployed from the public Windows Update site. • Admins can configure client to update with WSUS server as opposed to public update. • Can deploy updates to clients in multiple languages • WSUS checks to verify all updates have been digitally signed by Microsoft. Extra layer of security.
