How does Adam know that the lead robber is a knight?
He sees the spurs and the crest on his helm, which has a gilded leopard on it.
Who owns the forest through which they ride?
The forest is owned by the king.
Why doesn't Adam question Daun William's ideas about where Roger has gone?
When Daun William gives his opinion, he seems so sure that he is right. Daun William is also an adult, so Adam is more likely to trust his opinion over his own.
