frontal = controls voluntary movement, speech, intellect, personality, conscious thought occipital = receives visual information temporal = receives auditory information parietal lobe = receives information about Taste, Touch, Temperature, Pain, Pressure

connects PNS & CNS; coordinates functions of autonomic nervous system (heart rate, breathing, coughing, swallowing, etc).

receives & processes sensory information, memory storage, complex thinking, personality.

What is the function of the pons?

relay station between hemispheres AND cerebellum/medulla; helps medulla regulate breathing
