A study of what employees do who hold various job titles. It's important in order to recruit and train employees with the necessary skills to do the job. The result of job analysis is two written statements which are job description and job specifications.
Training and Development
All attempts to improve productivity by increasing an employee's ability to perform. Training focuses on short-term skills, whereas development focuses on long term skills.
What is performance appraisal?
An evaluation that measures employee performance against established standards in order to make decisions about promotions, compensation, training or termination
What is compensation and what are its common types?
Compensation is the total cash and non-cash payments that you give to an employee in exchange for the work they do for your business. The types include salary systems, hourly wages, commission plans, bonus plans, and stock options.
How can employees move within a company?
Employees can be moved up (promotion), over (reassignment), or out (termination or retirement) of a company. They can also choose to leave a company to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
What is networking?
Establishing and maintaining contacts with key managers in and out of the organization and using those contacts to develop relationships.
