Organisms composed of only one cell (Ex. Bacteria); They grow, respond to the environment, transform energy, and reproduce. In terms of their numbers, unicellular organisms dominate life on Earth.

Shorten to cause movement of the body. They move the skeleton, heart, and internal organs

guard cells

The two cells that flank the stomatal pore and regulate the opening and closing of the pore.
