Tropical forest

Animals: andacondas, elephants, monkeys, Tigers, parrots

Wetlands

Plant: pond lilies, cattails, sedges, bald Cypress, black spruce, sphagnum mosses. Animals: birds, muskrat, dragonflies, otters, frogs, herons, alligators.

Temperate broadleaf forest

Plants: Trees- oak, maple, walnut, chestnut, beech, Elm, basewood, sweetgum, hickory. Animals: whitetail deer, grey squirrel, chipmunk, raccoon, possum, skunk, mountain lion, Bobcat, coyote, black bear, wolves, woodpecker, Blue Jays, chickadeer, hummingbirds.

Lakes

Plants: algae, phytoplankton, water lilies, duckweed. Animals: variety of fish, birds, turtles, insects, dragonflies

Intertidal zones

Plants: algae, sea grass. Animals: see anemones, sponges echinoderms(starfish), and small fish.

Ocean pelagic zone

Plants: algae. Animal: plakton, bacteria, worms, shrimp, Turtles, fish, seals, squids, Wales

Chaparral

Plants: blue Oaks, sage bush, fairy duster, olive trees, coyote bushes, drought resistance low form scrubby plants. Animals: mammals, jack rabbits, birds, spotted shunks, becoar goats, jackals, coyotes

Desert

Plants: cacti, euphorbs, shrubs, herbs. Animals: snakes, lizards, scorpions, Ants, Beatles, birds, and rodents

Northern coniferous forest

Plants: cone bearing trees- hemlocks, pines and ferns, spruces, fur. Animal: moose, reindeer, deer, mice, squirrels, woodpeckers, owls , Hawks, wolves, lynxes, bears, foxes

Savanna

Plants: fire adapted, small nonwoody, forbs, low form trees. Animals: wild beast, zebras, termites, lions, and hyenas.

Plants: grasses, forbs, trees (not typically). Animals: Bisons, wild horses, prairie dogs, jack rabbits, coyotes, snakes

Tundra

Plants: mosses, grasses, forbs, dwarf shurbs, trees, lchens. Animals: caribou, reindeer, foxes, arctic hare, polar bear, wolves, oxes, Birds

Streams and rivers

Plants: plankton, sponges, phytoplankton, zooplankton, seaweeds, grass. Animals: Fish,octopus, eels, quails, sharks ,turtles, jellyfish, clams, mussels, scallops, tube worm

Estuaries
