Use this button in the Cell Size group to make the column widths in a table automatically fit the contents.
Autofit
Use this keyboard shortcut to move the insertion point to a tab within a cell in a table.
Ctrl+ Tab
Display the Formula dialog box by clicking the Formula button in this group on the Table Tools Layout tab.
Data
This is another name for the lines that form the cells of the table.
Gridlines
If a table continues over two or more pages, consider adding this at the beginning of each page for easier reference while reading.
Header Row
The Table button is in the Tables group on this tab.
Insert
Click this button on the Table Tools Layout tab to insert a column at the left side of the column containing the insertion point.
Insert Left
One method for changing column width in a table is dragging this on the horizontal ruler.
Move table column marker
Position the mouse pointer in a table and this displays in the lower right corner.
Resize handle
Insert and delete columns and rows with buttons in this group on the Table Tools Layout tab.
Rows and Columns
Use this keyboard shortcut to move the insertion point to the preceding cell in a table.
Shift+ Tab
Position the mouse pointer in a table and this displays in the upper left corner.
Table Move Handle
Change the table alignment at this dialog box with the Table tab selected.
Table Properties
This tab contains table styles that can be applied to a table.
Table Tools Design
Convert a table to text by clicking this tab and then clicking the Convent to Text button in the Data group.
