Deuterocanonical is the Greek term for the "second cannon." It refers to those books in the Old Testament that were not found in the Hebrew Scriptures, and were not accepted by the Jewish Cannon. These books are Sirach, Wisdom, Baruch, 1&2 Maccabees, Tobit, Judith, and certain additions to Esther and Daniel.

Apocryphal books
A Greek word the means "hidden." For Catholics it refers to pious literature related to the Bible, but not included in the Cannon of the Bible. Two examples from the Old Testament times are 1 Esdras and the book of Jubilee. However, Protestants and Jews also use this term to refer to Several Old Testament books that Catholics consider inspired - Sirach, Wisdom, Baurch, 1&2 Maccabees, Tobit and Judith. These books were not part of the Jewish Cannon of the Hebrew Scriptures at the end of the first century, although they were found in the early Christian Greek translations of the Old Testament. Catholics refer to these same lists of books as the "Deuterocanonical." (the two extra books of the Old Testament, not included in the Jewish Canon)
How did the Catholic Bible get the seven extra books?
After release from the Babylonian Exile many members used Greek as their spoken language. These members worked to translate the original Hebrew Scriptures into Greek. The Greek translation of the Hebrew scriptures also included 7 more books that the translators deemed inspired. These are the scriptures Jesus and the Apostles used. When the Protestant reform broke away from the Catholic faith they chose to use the original Hebrew Scriptures without the extra books for their bible.
