I consider the most significant event in the life of Jesus to be His crucifiction. This showed that Jeus actually died, his heart physically stopped beating, he did not have a pulse. Jesus was saving us by suffering for us. He suffered on the cross so that we could be saved.

Tacitus was a Roman historian who verified the public ministry occurred during the reign of Tiberius. Suetonius was a Roman writer and biographer. He verified that the Christians upset the Roman authorities after the resurection. Pliny the younger was a Roman senator. He wrote letters that referenced Jesus. It is important for Christians that nonchristian sources validate that Jesus really existed because it supports the Christian faith and opens the horizon to more understanding and toleration.
