Cranial Nerve III, Oculomotor

Type: Motor. This nerve controls inferomedial eye movement.

Cranial Nerve IV, Trochlear

Type: Sensory/Motor. This nerve contains sensory fibers for taste on posterior third of tongue as well as sensory fibers of the pharynx that result for gag reflex; in addition, this nerve provides secretory fibers to the parotid salivary glands and promotes swallowing.

Cranial Nerve IX, Glossopharyngeal

Type: Sensory/Motor. This Nerve sends sensory impulses of pain, touch and temperature from the face to the brain; in addition, this nerve also enable clenching and movement of the lateral jaw for biting and chewing.

Cranial Nerve V, Trigeminal

Type: Motor. This nerve controls lateral eye movement

Cranial Nerve VII, Facial

Type: Sensory. This nerve contains sensory fibers for hearing and balance.

Cranial Nerve VIII, Vestibulocochlear
