What is your GPA requirement?

3.0 is our minimum, but our historical average in Client Service is above a 3.5.

I'm almost done with my masters [in data analytics]! Can I apply?

Absolutely! We welcome all majors and entry-level candidates. The biggest question is whether or not you'd want to leverage the [technical] skill set gained in your education [or past experiences]. If the answer is yes, AlphaSights would not be the best place for you as the Associate role is built around interpersonal skills and general business acumen. Any specialized technical positions will be listed on alphasights.com/careers.

Will I be invited to interview at your NY / SF office? Will you pay for my trip/hotel/food?

An on-site visit is a necessary step in the interview process and we do have reimbursement offerings for interview-related travel. The full policy will be communicated to you if/when you are invited on-site. If you have any questions about the reimbursement process, please reach out to the recruiting team.

What events will you be holding on campus this semester?

If a core school: Refer to campus one-pager for full list of events If a non-core school: While we won't be on campus this year, we encourage you to learn more about the firm by visiting our blog, website, and youtube channel, or reaching out to an Associate that you'd hope to speak to on LinkedIn.

What does the interview process entail? How long is it?

If recruiting from a core school: Following your university's resume drop deadline, you will hear from the recruiting team on the status of your application. After that, successful candidates will be invited to a first round video interview with a member of the recruiting team. From there, candidates are invited to on-site interviews, consisting of a case study and situational exercises. For intern candidates, the process stops there, and if successful, you may receive an offer. The final stage for full time candidates is meeting with a member of our leadership team. It typically takes candidates about five weeks to make it through the full process. We are happy to expedite interview processes to the best of our ability if you have an accelerated timeline. If not recruiting from a core school: The first step is to apply through our careers page. We hire on a rolling basis, so the earlier you submit, the better. You'll be notified if selected for an AlphaSights Video Assessment.

I've read online that AlphaSights requires a video assessment before you can get a first round interview. Do I need to complete this?

If recruiting from a core school: Since we recruit from your university, you are not required to complete the video assessment since we are chatting on campus now. If not recruiting from a core school: If you do not attend a university where we conduct on-campus recruitment, you should apply through our regular associate job posting and complete the Video Assessment.

Do you have opportunities for Sophomores or underclassmen?

Our main internship program is for current juniors/rising seniors. We have opportunities for sophomores from time to time. Any underclassmen opportunities will be listed on alphasights.com/careers as they become available, so keep an eye out! This winter on January 8th, we'll be hosting an in-office event in our NY office primarily for first and second year students to attend a career development seminar, see our office, and learn about future opportunities at AlphaSights. We encourage you to [sign in on the ipad if on campus] leave your contact information with a member of the AlphaSights recruiting team in order to receive an invitation in the coming months.

What do you look for when hiring someone into your Associate program?

The associate role serves top-tier decision-makers in finance, consulting, and corporate communities, so our team must be as equally high-performing. We look for those who demonstrate a tremendous amount of drive and enjoy being in a fast-paced, commercial environment. We look for collaborative individuals with natural confidence, who are willing to do whatever it takes to meet clients' needs.

How many [core school] grads do you have at your company?

We have a substantial [CORE SCHOOL] community who have proven successful in the Associate role, [which is why we are here recruiting]! We hope to continue to grow the team.

Core schools: Should I give you a physical copy of my resume? Does that count as my application?

Yes, we're always taking resumes but that does not count as your application. You will need to submit an electronic application through your career portal.

Core schools: If I registered on your info session event page/signed in with you at the career fair, is that all I need to do? Or will I still need to apply?

You do still need to apply, but now that we have your email address, we'll be in touch directly with application instructions.

For the on-site interview round, will I be invited to interview in your NY or SF office? Will you pay for more trip/hotel/food? What if I am abroad?

You will be invited on-site as a necessary step in the interview process, and we do offer reimbursement for interview-related travel. The full policy will be communicated to you if/when you are invited on-site. If you are abroad, or have concerns around your ability to travel to the office, we do have the ability to consider alternate arrangements that you can discuss with your recruiter.
