Define Criteria: BMI/waist circumference

Body mass index > or equal 30 kg x m^-2, or waist girth >102 cm (40in) for men and >88 cm (38in) for women (39)

Define Criteria: age

Men > or equal 45 Women > or equal 55

Define Criteria: family history

Myocardial infraction, coronary revascularization, or sudden death before 55 yr in father or other male first-degree relative or before 65 yr in mother or other female first-degree relative

Define Criteria: physical inactivity

Not meeting the minimum threshold of 500-1,000 MET-min of moderate-to-vigorous PA or 75-150 min/wk of moderate-to-vigorous intensity PA

Define Criteria: blood pressure

Systolic BP > or equal 130 mmHg and/or diastolic > or equal 80 mmHg based on an average > or equal to 2 readings obtained on > or equal to 2 occasions, or on antihypertensive medication
