53% of Americans say same-sex marriage should be recognized in law as equally valid with traditional male-female marriages. so now people are excepting since they believe that it should be excepted by all people to be "allowed". why can't gays get married yet?

I really believe in this topic a lot of people i know and love are either gay,lesbian,bisexual and transgendered and with the hope that one day they will get married.

Only 5 states allow same-sex couple to marry. these states are massachusetts, connecticut,iowa,vermont and new hampshire. Now why cant the whole united states which has 50 states be apart of the 5 states and just let them get married.

This debate for gay rights has going on since 1951 since the Mattachine Society, the first gay rights group came out. I strongly agree that gays, lesbians,bisexuals and transgendered individuals should have the right to get married no matter where they live. I think this a very strong subject to talk about but i think it needs to be adressed.

denying gays to get married is a violation of life,liberty and the pursuit of happiness. All the time people here this saying but in essence its really not true because if it was they would let gays get married and be happy. all they want to do is be happy and get married why should it be anyone else's argument when it does not effect them. especially when you have this famous saying that pertains to everyone it does not single people out it says everyone has the right. so why not gays?

everyday so many great people do extordinary things like the police force, military,doctors and firefighters which are all great proffesions but when is anyone going to stand up for the people who are gay in those proffesions. we love all the things they do but what if that guy who just saved your house from burning down was gay and he also saved your two year old daughter that was sleeping in her crib. you would be so thankful for that but you would not know he was gay. he did so much for you so why cant you turn around and just let gays the right to marry. they just ask for one thing from everyone.

your house is burning down, the twin towers where just hit, someone you are very close to just got shot and got rushed to the hospital how would you feel. well something you did not know is that one of the people that helped in one of those instances could be gay and just think of how happy you were when they put out a fire in your house, they sent the men and woman to war, they caught the guy that shot that person you knew and the doctor in the hospital saved his life. you would feel so happy that they did that for you. Even if you know that person is gay or not they could be so if they went through all that trouble to help you then you could go through one thing for them and let them get married.
