Medicare
Federal government plan; National Health Insurance program for the elderly and disabled. A federal program of health insurance for persons 65 years of age and older.
Medicare Part (Type) B
Has a monthly premium, subject to deductible, and has an 80/20 co-insurance. Covers: doctors visits outpatient services, and other health.
Medicaid
Managed and operated by individual states.
SCHIP
State Children's Health Insurance Program. Provides Insurance to children of working parents who make too much money to qualify for medicaid but not enough to provide insurance.
Tricare
active military personnel and their dependants, survivors of active military personnel and retired military personnel
Medicare Part A
covers hospital services and extended stay (or home health) after.
Workers Compensation
health insurance for workers injured on the job administered by the states. (Quarterly coverage paid by the employer to the state.)
Medicare (Q)
~ people over the age of 65 ~ people who have been on social security disability for more than 2 years. ~ anyone with end stage renal disease
Medicaid (Q)
~People with low incomes . ~All children (until 18) who qualify for public assistance. ~Anyone who is physically disabled or blind
