Passive: The novel was read in one day by Mom.

Passive: The savannah is roamed by beautiful giraffes.

Tense: Past

Basic Form: I was followed. Progressive Form: I was being followed.

Tense: Future

Basic Form: I will be followed.

Tense: Future Perfect

Basic Form: I will have been followed.

Tense: Past Perfect

Basic Form: I had been followed.

Tense: Present Perfect

The Forms of Active and Passive Verbs

A passive verb is made from a form of be plus particle of a transitive verb.

Basic Form: I am followed Progressive Form: I am being followed.

Differences Between Active and Passive Voice

Voice is the form of a verb that shows whether or not the subject is performing the action. A verb is active if its subject preforms the action. A verb is passive if its action is preformed upon the subject.
