What are green house gases?
Any gases compound in the atmosphere that is capable of absorbing infrared radiation thereby trapping and holding heat in the atmosphere. Examples of these gases are : water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and ozone.
Why does rice production create natural gases?
Because flooded fields of rice patties cause a release of methane
Where do greenhouse gases come from?
Electricity production-32% of greenhouse gas emissions, over 70% of our electricity comes from burning fossil fuels mostly coal and natural gas. Transportation- 28% of greenhouse gas emissions from transportation primarily come from burning fossil fuel for our motor vehicles; over 90% of the fuel transportation is petroleum- based which includes gasoline and diesel industry.
What would happen if the earth did not have greenhouse gases?
Greenhouse gases only allow the Suns shoe wave radiation in, because of the chemical properties the gases do not interact with the sunlight. They do absorb the long wave radiation from the earth emit it back in the atmosphere do without greenhouse gases we would not g a anything living on the earth. All the chemical gases in the world would be out of balance and we may not live.
Is nitrogen a green house gas? Does it absorb significant amounts of infrared radiation?
Neither nitrogen or oxygen absorb infrared radiation.
If the amount of energy that comes into E is the same as what goes out, how can our planet stay warm?
The collection of green house gases are in the lower atmosphere .the collection of carbon and traps heat and rises the temperature . NASA satellite data from 2000-2011 shows earth released more heat into space than scientist had contended so they predict less global warming in the future (discovery channel.com) ."Over the whole surface of the Earth, about 30 percent of incoming solar energy is reflected back to space. Because a cloud usually has a higher albedo than the surface beneath it, the cloud reflects more shortwave radiation back to space than the surface would in the absence of the cloud, thus leaving less solar energy available to heat the surface and atmosphere." How do green house gases work?
The earth and man-made products emits greenhouse gases when natural or man made materials are being burned. Greenhouse gases serve a purpose of absorbing some of the harmful ultraviolet radiation, while the rest is reflected out by ice, clouds and water or absorbed as heat.

There are two components in a green house effect. One being caused by the amount of greenhouse gases naturally found in the atmosphere. Second, man made caused by the amounts of greenhouse gases that man adds or the atmosphere as a result to there activities. The green house gas effects when gases hold in the heat after the earth released it. More gases leads to more retained heat which leads to climate change.
