Sequence of events in homeostasis:

First our body feels a change, its not so comfortable, we call it Stimulus. The body starts to get really cold, our temperature starts to decrease, that will be the receptor. The receptor sends a "message" to the brain, it wants the brain to keep balance in the body. Its the coordinate. After the brain has received the message it turns on the negative feedback system and gives special orders to some specific organs. Which leads to a Negative Feedback. Stimulus Receptor Coordinate Effector/signal Negative Feed back/ Positive feedback.

Examples, Positive Feedback:

If our body gets to warm the system will increase the temperature even more than decreasing it. Another example will be when a mother breath feeds her baby, the system will "tell" the mother to produce more milk. the positive feed back increases the chances of an event.

Examples, Negative Feedback:

If our body will get to cold our system will act against it: Our heart starts to pump more blood to warm our body, our muscles will start to shiver in order to produce heat and our skin hair will go up and it will track less oxygen to balance the temperature, these acts can even switch the situation our body may be to warm.

Positive Feedback:

In positive feedback the response of the system is to change that variable even more in the same direction, it also increases of processes to continue.

Negative Feedback:

In the negative feedback, the system responds in such a way, to reverse the direction of change, it also slows down processes.

Homeostasis:

To maintain a stable internal environment despite changes in external conditions. Our boy uses for most of the times Negative Feedback to keep the balance of our temperature.
