What happened after the Korean War started?
By August 1950, only Pusan was not fallen in the South Korea. General Douglas MacArthur took a great risk as he fired a landing at Incheon 200 miles from enemy lines, from there; the South launched an attack on the North. The North Army retreated. MacArthur ordered the South to take on the North at Yalu River of the Chinese province. The Chinese were provoked and launched a massive attack on the US forces and the South government.

Peace talks started at Panmunjom and lasted for two years. An armistice is an official agreement for two sides to stop fighting and halt for a certain period of time. North and South Korea are still at war and are still in an armistice.
