Assigning Categories to Messages:

To arrange your inbox by category, click the (View) tab. In the Arrangement group, click the (Categories) button in the gallery

In Chrome, this feature is called Incognito Mode. To start Incognito Mode in Chrome:

1. Click the (Customize and Control) button. 2. Select (New Incognito Window)

To enable saving in Chrome

1. Click the (Customize and Control) button. Click Settings 2. Click (Show Advanced Settings) 3. Under passwords and forms, check (Offer to save your web passwords.)

To set up Outlook to automatically check for new messages:

1. Click the (Send/Receive) tab. 2. In the Send & Receive group, click the (Send/Receive Groups) button and select (Define Send/Receive Groups) 3. In the Send/Receive Groups dialog, select the (Schedule an automatic send/receive every [number] minutes) check box. 4. Enter a number in the box to change how often Outlook will check for new messages (or use the arrow buttons to increase (or decrease the number in the box). 5. Click the (Close) button in the Send/Receive Groups dialog.

To change how messages are displayed:

1. Click the (View) tab. 2. In the current View group, click the (Change View) button to display a list of views. 3. Select an option to switch to the view you want.

To add a message to a category:

1. Select the message to a category. 2. on the home tab, in the Tags group, click the (Categorize) button, and select a category from the menu

To add a bookmark in Chrome

1. click the Bookmark button in the Address Bar. The Bookmark dialog appears. 2. Name the Bookmark and select a folder to add it to. 3. Click done

To set up an email account

1. click the File tab. 2. on the info page, click the (Add Account) button.

to create a rule based on a message:

1. with the message open, on the Home tab, in the Move group, click the (Rules) button and select (Create Rules) 2. in the create Rule dialog, select the check box next to condition(s) for the rule. 3. In the Do the following section, select the action(s) to perform when the condition(s) are met. 4. Click (OK) to create the rule.

setting up a New E-mail Account

Before you can use Microsoft Outlook to send and receive email messages, you must first set up an email account

Private Browsing:

Many times, people do not want to leave any trace of their web browsing. One option is to delete the browsing history, but this does not always delete files which may contain personal information. The most popular browsers now have a private browsing feature, which allows you to browse the Internet without recording any information, including searches and Web page visits, to your computer

Changing the Send/Receive Settings

if you have a continuous internet connection, you may want to set up Microsoft Outlook to automatically check for new messages at certain intervals of time, such as every fifteen minutes.

saving passwords

most browsers have a save password feature, and will give you the option to store your passwords in the browser. When you return to a site that requires a password, the browser will automatically enter it for you.

create a new rule that will automatically play the (Windows Notify.wav) file when a message from Dr. Neil Patella comes in

on the Message tab, in the Move group, click the (Rules) button and select (create Rules) in the create Rule dialog box, click the (From N Patella) check box. Click the (Play a selected sound) check box. Click (OK).
