Because they had better technology. They had longbows and better armor.

What changes did the Magna Carta promise to bring about in English government?

It brought to the english govenrment was that the monarch promised to consult the nobles and church archbishops and bishops before imposing special taxes. Another change was that "no free man" could be jailed except by the lawful judgment of his peers or by the law of the land. Monarch was not above the law.

What was the model parliament and why was it created?

It was a governing body created by King Edward I of England that included some commoners, Church Officials, adn nobles. It was created because King Edward wanted to include people in the government.

Why was the plague called the "Black Death"? What were some of the common symtoms?

It was called that because black and blue swellings appeared on the skin of the victims. Common symptoms were fever, vomiting, fierce coughing and sneezing fits, and buboes.

What changes did Henry II make to the English legal system and how did these changes affect feudalism?

One change was that he insisted that a jury formally accuse a person of a serious crime. This affected feudalism by strengthening the power of royal courts at the expense of fuedal lords.

How did people become infected with the plague?

People became infected with the plague when fleas jumped from one animal to a human. Also because city streets were filled with human waste, dead animal, and trash.

Power shifted from the feudal lords to the monarch and an the common people. Another is that a new feeling of nationalism shifted power away from the feudal lords. New military technology- longbows.

What place did the bubonic plague start and spread to?

Started in Central Asia then traveled along trade routes to the Black Sea. Then it was carried by ship to Italy and it spread west to Europe and England.

That the power shifted front eh nobles to the common people. Another is that peasants abandoned feudal manors leading to a loss of power for the feudal lords. Another example is that peasants would start rebellions,one of the most famous being the English Peasants' War.

The war started when the King of France challenged Enlgand's claim to land.
