Some recommendations for good note taking...
- develop a shorthand -outlining -annotating and highlighting
Presentation of the information varies based on the course and professor...
- some will follow textbook in the same order - some will lecture on new material not in the textbook - some will do both

-review notes within 2 days -reorganize material -spell out abbreviations -re-write -recite

-use a note taking strategy -prepare to listen actively -read all of the assigned material before class - save your notes -review your notes
