Give an example of a time you gave excellent customer service.

A lady came in looking for a new moisturizer. She seemed very irritated to start off with. She told me she had very sensitive skin, and I had to trouble shoot with her as I showed her different products because she had trouble with some of the "skin soothing" ingredients they promoted. I then found the perfect one for her, and I had just recently had the rep for the company send us fresh testers which was great. She bought the whole line and left the store looking hopeful. She came back a few days later to buy the whole line again to send to her mom because she liked it so much.

Why should we hire you?

Because I know how to upsell, I have experience in asking customer's questions to find out their needs, in order to upsell products and suggesting extra products to suit them best. and I have enough knowledge and experience with selling skin care and cosmetics to know how to be able to offer different products that would suit the customers needs. For example, if a customer was looking for a product, I would mention a few other products that would compliment what they were originally looking for, so they consider buying more.

In which brands would you like to work?

Benefit, Bobbi Brown, Smashbox, Nars, Philosophy

How would you celebrate a purchase?

By reinforcing the customers decision to buy that product with lines such as "Oh you're really going to love this product, it looks amazing on you/with your skin tone, etc" and finish with a parting line like "You'll have to come check back when we get our new line in"

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?

I like to think of myself as coming off very authentic and that I truely care about making their shopping experience a pleasure. I am dedicated to learning my products to ensure that I can give my customers the best reccomendations. One of the happiest parts of my job is when I get a customer from the week before come back and talk to me about how they loved the skincare line I helped set them up with.

Why should we hire you? Reason 1

I have experience selling credit cards and store benefit cards from my past jobs. I am comfortable with it and I take the time to develop different sales pitches for the card, depending on what kind of customer I have

I have sat at demo booths with a different array of beauty products by different brands and I had to come up with key selling points to get the customer interested. (ex) evan healy

How do you keep a customer coming back to you ? part 2

I like to make my customers feel like they matter and I genuinely want them to leave with products they will love. I know that going into cosmetics departments can be very overwhelming because of all the product choices. so I like to ask them what they're looking for, then I ask specific questions like what kind of skin they have etc. After I know a little more about them, and their likes and dislikes, what has and hasnt worked for them in the past etc I guide them along and show them the things that I would suggest. And if they want me to I can demo it for them, explain some cool stuff about the company, and also read the ingredients list with them and point out what makes this a really suitable choice for them.

How would you approach a customer to sell a product, not only sell but also educate and inform them about this product?

I would ask them what they are looking for, (cleanser) and then I would ask them what type of skin they have. I would then show them my best suggestion. I would tell them information about the key ingredients and how they are amazing for the skin. I would then suggest complimentary products such as ____ toner, moisturizer, serum

Tell me how you would build a new client base.

I would build relationships with customers by getting to know their name, little details about them, and making them feel that they were a very important customer. I would ask questions to learn about what type of products they are interested in so I would be able to suggest more products for them that they would love. I have had repeat customers at my store that go straight to me because they know I am very knowledgable about the products and I make them feel good by being attentive and genuine.

How would you make a customer come back to you?

I would make them feel important and that I cared about their experience in the store, I would learn their name and their needs so that I could suggest and upsell the best products that they could go home with and be happy about. I enjoy explaining products to customers and making the vast array of products seem less overwhelming.

Tell me how you would greet a customer and assist them.

I would smile and politely greet them, ask them how they are doing, and then I would ask what they were looking for and how could I help

It's very convenient to check the balance online whenever internet is available. Also, there is no need for a receipt when you return an item, no matter how long ago it was to purchase the item.
