multiply

obtain from (a number) another that contains the first number a specified number of times increase or cause to increase greatly in number or quantity.increase in number by reproducing.

Addition

often signified by the plus symbol "+") is one of the four basic operations of arithmetic, with the others being subtraction, multiplication and division. The addition of two whole numbers is the total amount of those quantities combined.

Fraction Bar

A fraction bar separates the numerator and denominator of a fraction. It indicates that a division of the numerator by the denominator will be performed.

Bodmas

B Brackets first O Orders (i.e. Powers and Square Roots, etc.) DM Division and Multiplication (left-to-right) AS Addition and Subtraction (left-to-right)

Parentheses

One of the symbols ( or ) used to denote grouping. Parentheses have a great many specialized meanings in mathematics. A few of these are described below. 1. Parentheses are used in mathematical expressions to denote modifications to normal order of operations (precedence rules).

Arithmetic Operations

The 4 basic arithmetic operations are addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Exponent

The exponent of a number says how many times to use the number in a multiplication.

Subtraction

is a mathematical operation that represents the operation of removing objects from a collection. It is signified by the minus sign (−). For example, in the picture on the right, there are 5 − 2 apples—meaning 5 apples with 2 taken away, which is a total of 3 apples.

Operations

mean things like add, subtract, multiply, divide, squaring, etc. If it isn't a number it is probably an operation.

divide

the action of separating something into parts, or the process of being separated.
