inertia

Resistance of an object to a change in its motion

Newtons third Law

Whenever one object exerts a force on a second object, the second object exerts an equal and opposite force on the first.

Newtons Second Law

a=F/M (acceleration equals force divided by mass) The acceleration produced by a net force on an object is directly proportional to the net force, is in the same direction as the net force, and is inversely proportional to the mass of the object.

Newtons First Law

an object at rest will stay at rest, an object in motion will stay in motion unless disturbed by an un balenced force.

Single interaction

comprises with an action and a reaction

a falling object that has reached its terminal speed continues to gain

neither speed or acceleration

Weight

reaction to gravity, the person's body pulling on Earth

terminal velocity

terminal speed in a given direction (often downward)

free fall

the motion of a falling object when the only force acting on it is gravity

terminal speed

the speed at which the acceleration of a falling object is zero because friction balances the weight

free falling object

velocity increases, acceleration increases

free falling object through air

when gaining velocity, net force increases

An object in motion tends to remain in motion

without the need of a force

A falling objects has reached terminal velocity, its acceleration is__?

zero

the net force on any object moving at constant velocity is

zero
