What is Factor Theorem?

A polynomial f(x) has a factor x - k if and only if f(k) = 0, e.g. x + 2 is a factor of 2x + 4, -2 is a zero of x + 2 and by using synthetic division, you find that it is a factor

What is Remainder Theorem?

If a polynomial f(x) is divided by x - k, then f(k) = r, e.g. f(x) = 2x³ - 4x² + 6; k = -3, f(-3) = -84 (using synthetic division)

If a and b are real numbers and b ≠ 0 and a + bi is a zero of f(x), then...

Its complex conjugate a - bi is also a zero of f(x)

How do you find the product of complex numbers?

Multiply the numerator and denominator by the denominator's conjugate.

Does form matter when finding the zeros/x-intercepts of a vertex?

No

What is the discriminant of a quadratic function?
